The Marina
About This Spot
Perched along the peaceful banks of the Connecticut River, The Marina offers a quietly inviting retreat where water views and fresh, lively flavors come together in an unhurried rhythm. Whether you choose to settle in upstairs for a panoramic glimpse of the river’s flow or find yourself on the spacious patio soaking in the open air, the atmosphere gently encourages a moment of ease and simple enjoyment.
This isn’t a place to rush through your meal; it’s one where the breeze carries soft laughter and the clink of glasses, and where the staff’s warm attentiveness feels like catching up with old friends. The expansive windows frame natural light in by day, adding an airy brightness that feels both relaxed and quietly refined, while the quiet buzz of conversation keeps the mood comfortably alive.
The food here mirrors the surroundings–unpretentious yet thoughtfully crafted, with offerings that nod to both classic American favorites and fresh seafood treasures. It’s the kind of place where a perfectly balanced cocktail or a robust glass of wine accompanies dishes carrying a familiar touch and unexpected details—a hallmark of a kitchen mindful of both tradition and discovery.
Whether you have a hankering for hearty, comforting flavors or crave a lighter bite inspired by coastal fare, The Marina’s menu invites you to savor the moment at your own pace. And if your visit coincides with a sunny afternoon, opting for a seat outside feels like a quiet celebration of the simple joy found in good company, fresh air, and a view that stretches into the horizon.
For locals and travelers alike, this spot quietly holds a special kind of comfort—the kind born from genuine hospitality, attentive care, and a setting that invites you to pause and take in the subtle beauty of a riverside meal. It’s less about grand gestures and more about the fabric of small, authentic moments shared over plates, drinks, and the easy conversation that comes with genuine welcome.

My friends and I were traveling through New England and stoped here for lunch. First we were greeted by Kate, who was warm and welcoming! Then we asked for a table with a view and she took us upstairs! There we were greeted by Maddi who was our sever. She was friendly, greeted us promptly and gave us a rundown of the specials! We ordered and the food came quickly and it was delicious!! Everything we ate exceeded our expectations and it filled us up. So if you are passing through Brattleboro and need a great meal with a great atmosphere go there!! Highly recommend!

This is a nice place on the water. It is huge. We sat outside overlooking the Connecticut River. There are a lot of windows also overlooking the water from the inside. The food was good, we were there for lunch. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. We found it on our little road trip we will probably go out that way in the future and will try it again.

We had an excellent meal. Started with a nice Pinot Grigio, Fini (Italy). We had the pork belly and corn bread to get us started. Amazing and rich. My beautiful bride had the special lobster Mack n’ cheese while I enjoyed the fish and chips (haddock). The experience was amazing. Christian was amazing and took excellent care of us. We will be back. Side bar - our only concern was the ice skaters out the window. We were worried about them but they were fine and Christian pointed out that the water is an 18 inches deep. Ha!

No wait, beautiful day to sit on the patio. Food came quickly, nothing tasted bad, though I wouldn't say anything stuck out for how well it was cooked either. We enjoyed it all though! Server was polite and prompt. Cocktails were fine. Worth coming here, especially if you like outdoor seating, very peaceful.

Everything we ordered was delicious. The limited time warm Lobster roll was full of lobster. The smoked trout crostini was a great size shareable. The drinks were nice and strong and the server was friendly. I wish I remember her name but she was a bit older.

I only had picture of my salad because whole family dove right in and we forgot to take pics of meals! All delicious!! Beautiful view - we chose to sit outside. It's a bit of a wait between ordering and when food arrives, but they warned us of that ahead of time as we arrived at hostess stand.

Had a wonderful lunch and such an amazing view when the weather is good to sit outside. Had the steak salad with side of roasted Brussel sprouts. So tasty.
